We did not get type of car that we booked (or similar) from Alamo but: they finally agreed on providing the correct size.
Comment: Alamo representative was going to provide a much smaller car. Had to argue for several minutes to get the size of the car I paid for.

Comment: It should be included what insurances are government needed and what are extras, as well how to proceed if anything happens. When you arrive they scare you and tell you how thing can gone so badly so they basically force you to contact more insurance than needed

Comment about other issues when picking up the car: The staff from America was rude, except for one girl. When picking up the car the guy (can't remember the name) was trying to charge us $5usd/day for an extra driver, then we return next day to have the driver added and the lady who helped us did it for free... how? I don't know

Comment: Not very satisfied, I spoke to them in numerous occasions before traveling so everything would be set up, they knew I made the reservation from CarTrawler and never provided information necessary about insurance, until the minute we were picking up the car they mentioned that since CarTrawler is a European company they don't know about the insurance needed in Mexico, so we needed more insurance.

Comment: It finds the most economic prices but the 'catch' is have to deal with abusive car rental companies. I would use CarTrawler again but before making a reservation I would speak with the car company first.

There was a problem with this information: extra costs.
Comment: My three hundred dollar quote was over eight hundred dollars when I got to the desk. This was using the insurance on my credit card for collision, declining tire and windshield insurance and putting a $3000 hold on my credit card in case of damage. If an insurance is 'mandatory' it should be included in the price. Also I was told gas would be full-full on pick up to return, tank was almost empty on pick up.
