Riedwaan Kader from Salwa (Kuwait) rented a car (compact) in Muscat from Europcar and used the service from broker CarTrawler. CarTrawler gets a 4 on a scale from 1 to 5 and Europcar 5. Riedwaan Kader would use the service from CarTrawler again but wouldn't rent a car from Europcar again. Booking the car The website of CarTrawler gives enough information and this information is correct. Rating: 4 The voucher and the confirmation mail received from CarTrawler after booking the car did provide sufficient and correct information. Rating: 5 Picking up the car How easy was it to find the rental office/service desk from Europcar: 5 How clear were the directions on the voucher from CarTrawler: 3 The car was not clean. Europcar did not solve this problem immediately. This solution is rated: 1 Comment: The Car was filthy dirty...it had chocolate stains all over the front passanger seat. The back seats were also filthy! The car was NOT in the best condition either. It was beat up and clearly in an accident. The front right was damaged, there were big visible scrapes and bumps all along the side of the car. I couldnt actually belive this was the car they gave us. Of course I didnt take it all in immediately becasue I had some problems with my flight and got in 5 hours later. By this time it was dark, so I didnt take the full extent of the bad condition of the car until I got into the hotel and my passanger told me his clothes were covered in chocolate. The next morning I had a proper look at the car and felt angry that they dared give us a car in that condition! Ordered extra's (child seats, roof racks, navigation, ...) were not present when the car was picked up and Europcar did not solve this immediately. This solution is rated: 1 Comment: YES! The car was in terrible condition! I didnt even drive the car. I dont drive a car like that at home, so why should I drive a beat-up filthy car. I was on holiday and didnt think I need to spoil my vacation over the car...but I was upset. The car was in a bad condition! Europcar offered extra insurances. The info the CarTrawler provided on the voucher about not needing extra insurances was clear: 1 The staff at the pick-up office of Europcar was friendly and helpfull: 4 General judgement Value for money: 1 Comment: No! I thought I did but when I saw the condition of the car! The service Europcar delivered: 5 We wouldn't rent a car from Europcar again. Comment: The guy at the counter was friendly and helpful but the beat-up, accident, filthy car is reason enough for me to share my experience with others. The service CarTrawler delivered: 4 We would use the service of CarTrawler again. Comment: I would like to but I am seriously NOT sure who is to blame for the car...I think its Europ car so...I have no issues with CarTowler, so I guess YES!
