When we returned the car at Heathrow, they said the car should never have been rented out in that condition and it would be sold immediately. Also the car much bigger than requested and consequently more expensive to run. Ordered extra's (child seats, roof racks, navigation, ...) were not present when the car was picked up and Alamo did not solve this immediately. Comment: Picked up at the airport and taken to collect the rental car, friendly, polite and courteous service by the Arnold Clark staff on duty. Would have no hesitation in using or recommending them again. I even got a free upgraded car from the one I had booked without asking. Very positive experience. The people from Europcar handled this adequately: Dropping off the car The rental office from Europcar was not open when we arrived. The way Europcar solved this is rated: Comment: i was planned to return the car early in the morning so the office was clearly closethe day before i went to the return office to declare that i had made some external damage and that i was going to return the car full of fuel .The man said me that he would have took in consideration my notes and to be sure about it i gave my business car and my referenceon the CC note i checked that they charged full refuel and full cost damage without any definition on the top I would like to add that I asked 2 child seat (>6 year old ) and they charged me 64GBP (x 10 days ) each Ó to buy one cost 20 GBP! There were issues concerning the fuel policy of Europcar. Comment: Iãve already again rent a car with cardelmar in Cagliari end of Oct11Iãve unpleasant problem with refuel When I picked up the car the fuel level was 7/8 .When I dropped back the car I do not refuel because I was sure about how to refuel seeing that when I picked up was not fullThey charge me the refuel cost extra cost 25 Euro and for each liter of fuel the charge 2.5 Euro!!! When I complain with them about the usurer policy they said that I had to refuel .. when I said them that I had picked up not fuel so was impossible to refuel at the same level 7/8 the suggested me that I could refuel the day before and made some km to use the fuel to bring 7/8 level! this is not a professional service this is a dubbler.I paid because I was in an hurry and I had no time to looking for a gas station and I decided not to think about The problem is not about cardelmar ..i was sure that both problems that I had in my 2 rent would occurred also for a direct resevartion.. the problem is that rentacar are really unprofessional or worst their strategy is to keep cost lower at the reservation and put legal clauses to swindle the customerÓ I appreciate cardelmar for its part because for what I experienced It has been convenient in term of cost , professional in term of customer support and correct in term of behave |
